Those who wish to maintain that the current proposed legislation to effect a stimulation of the economy does not in fact contain expenditures and programs that will neither produce more jobs nor stimulate the economy are radically incorrect. The proposed legislation is jam packed with unnecessary programs, services and spending that will not help to provide jobs and will not stimulate the economy to any significant degree whatsoever. I do not see the change that President Obama proposed; however, I did not see the change that President Bush proposed.
It would be and is, absurd to argue that George Bush left us better off than we were when President Clinton departed the White House. I am not a Republican, nor a Democrat, nor a hard line conservative nor a left wing liberal. I do not have any political allegiance to any party or any particular ideology. I am neither tree hugger nor deer hunter. I am concerned about Global Warming but I do not know the entire truth about just how severe it is. I have nothing against "going green" and I'll do my part in recycling the trash. I have little respect for people, talk show hosts, radio personalities and the like who make their living doing nothing but being critical of other people. I like people who are For Something rather than against everything; still, I think the Stimulus Package is wrongheaded and that it will be ineffective. I think crazy and irresponsible expenditures are contained within the legislation.
What do you think?
